On 22.11.2022 boops celebrates its second birthday with a fundraising campaign that is particularly important to us: A portion of our sales until the end of the year will go to the Österreichische Kinder-Krebs-Hilfe (ÖKKH - Austrian Children's Cancer Aid) this year. With this, we are also focusing on a somewhat different Black Friday - because with our "Golden Friday" every purchase supports a good and important cause.

Why we want to donate at Christmas

Since boops was founded two years ago, a lot has changed at our company. But something has remained the same: The basic idea behind boops of our founder Rana Aktas to offer jewelry made of 100% real gold at fair prices and conditions. This also goes hand in hand with the social idea, which is particularly important to Rana. Last year we donated to the Salzburger Schutzunterkünfte for "Golden Friday". And would like to continue the tradition this year to do good during the Christmas season: with a donation to the Österreichische Kinder-Krebs-Hilfe.

What the Österreichische Kinder-Krebs-Hilfe does

Around 350 children and young people are diagnosed with cancer in Austria every year. A diagnosis that usually changes the lives of the young people affected and their families from one day to the next. About 85% of young cancer patients survive their disease. However, about 2 to 3 of those affected subsequently have to live with the long-term effetcs of the illness and its treatment. In order to provide support during the difficult time after diagnosis and also in the case of possible long-term consequences, the Österreichische Kinder-Krebs-Hilfe has been working for affected families for over 30 years. Throughout Austria, it offers both unbureaucratic direct support and target group-oriented aftercare. The ÖKKH is a non-profit, independent and non-political association - which is depending on donations. This is exactly what we would like to contribute to with our "Golden Friday" campaign this year.

Or rather: We all donate together - because the collected amount will be handed over after our "Golden Friday" campaign.
